Colour, place and memory trigger my imagery in photography, paintings and drawings.
My early focus on portraiture remains but has evolved to include paintings of faces and figures anonymized to represent the ‘universal’ we all share within our ‘individuality’. When my life experiences are expressed using blank faces, back views, composition and expressionistic colour to convey a feeling or memory, the viewer is invited to complete the thought or emotion with their own.
