Mona Bayati is a Toronto based Artist and Art Educator. She has been teaching in several schools of Art in GTA. Mona Bayati has a B.A. in fine Art from Azad University in Tehran- Iran. She has a strong connection with nature and its value in human’s life.
Her daily walks in nature are her inspiration for her paintings. She uses the textures of acrylic paint to express her emotional connection she feels with nature. Mona Bayati mixes a feeling of dreaminess and reality in her works. Her connection with Eastern world and her ancestral land gives her motivation in expressing herself.
Not quite here, not quite there, soft and dreamy colours fading in to a contrasted background, is life a dream?
She is showing off, in her paintings, with a sudden harsh texture and present of a strong, mighty tree, which you cannot deny its existence. Looking at Mona Bayati’s painting you might ask yourself, “ Is this a dream, or is it a reality?”
