Hello Members ,
Just a brief update. Yesterday we hosted an ARTS AND CULTURAL ROUNDTABLE with organized by our local MP Karim Bardeesy with a variety of local participants including writers , performers , film producers , illustrators , musicans , art gallery representatives and other cultural workers. It was the first of its kind in Parkdale to my knowledge and a good start in sharing the needs of the arts and cultural community. Another meeting will likely follow.
It looks like Gallery 1313 will participate in the Art Fair in Hamilton and I have been asked to curate. On Nov. 1 member Paul Brandejs will drop off works in Hamilton for install Members should send me jpegs of their work along with some statement. I will limit the number of works per member to 2 and the price point will be $1500 and under. I welcome any help from members as I have a lot on my plate. Several members have already indicated they are interested .
