Taoist monks knew for a millennium, and Einstein discovered the same fact in the 1930’s, that everything we perceive is the sum of energy vibrations filtered though our sensory receptors. Colour is a vibration of this energy. Rick Rubin wrote that artists channel this energy via the Universal Source. For me to paint is simply to mix colours and thrive off the vibrations and textures.
