Someone, Somewhere We Call Home is an exhibition that grew out of a series of studio visits and conversations, where home emerged as a recurring idea across very different practices. The show brings together emerging artists Adil Amin, Amara King, and Hans Poppe, working across different artistic disciplines to explore home beyond a physical place. Amin considers how our attachment to home can shift through the presence or absence of a person. King examines her inherited and evolving connection to the island of Saint Vincent alongside the sense of belonging she has found in Trinidad. Poppe draws from memories of his childhood home to depict scenes of life in Tanzania. Together, their works reveal home as something we inherit, remember, find, and sometimes locate in one another.
