Tangled Webs I Weave – Paul Brandejs – 13-24 May 2026

For the last few summers, I have been painting and creating my 3D-shaped canvases in my mobile studio at campsites throughout southern Ontario. For periods ranging from two to three weeks, I set up my portable studio and my travel trailer at a provincial park. Surrounded by nature, I paint and construct my abstract sculpted canvases.

“Tangled Webs I Weave” is based on my admiration for the perseverance and tenacity of spiders. To survive, they create beautiful, intricate webs and patiently wait for days to capture prey. When the webs are damaged, they repair them overnight. With these wall hangings, I aim to capture the beauty of the nature around me while camping.
