Along the Rouge – Bill Ward – 1-12 Apr, 2026

Reception: 02 April 6:30-9:30 p.m.

The Rouge River is one of my favourite places to walk and take photographs. I hike in Rouge National Urban Park in Scarborough, which has numerous sections that vary in geography.  The seasons display different features, textures, light, and colour. Not knowing exactly what I will see or feel on my next visit to the Rouge keeps me going back and exploring over and over again. Environmental threats and urban sprawl are a big concern in the Toronto area; therefore, it’s essential to appreciate, protect, and expand the Rouge and other local parks so that we can continue to enjoy them and improve the quality of life for people and wildlife.
