The Lennox Street Artists are proud to present Inspired II at Gallery 1313, an exhibition celebrating creativity, community, and the inspiration that drives an artistic practice.
Inspired II brings together the work of 17 alumni, faculty, and current students of Central Technical School in a lively mix of drawing, painting, sculpture, mosaic and textile art.
Artists are influenced by the people and places that first encourage them. The group’s time at Central Tech introduced them to a range of art and experiences that helped shape how they work today. From evocative portraits to energetic abstractions, the exhibition reveals how, in spite of a shared foundation, each artist pursues a unique path to self-expression.
The Lennox Street Artists is a collective of alumni from Central Technical School’s former Adult Art Program. The school’s celebrated art curriculum has been a pillar of Toronto’s creative community for decades.
