Nahid Faraji is an Iranian designer, researcher, and painter based in Canada. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture and Design and a Master’s in Art Research. Her practice blends academic insight and creative vision through her style, Cosmic Botanical Abstract Expressionism.
Inspired by plants and the mysteries of the cosmos, her work explores hidden energies linking nature and otherworldly forces. In her paintings, plants are depicted as simultaneously rooted in the earth and connected to cosmic light, acting as a bridge between terrestrial and celestial realms. Abstract botanical forms invite viewers to engage their imagination and interpret these dual energies personally.
She paints with music, balancing spontaneity and control, and sometimes uses dripping techniques to create texture and movement. Influences include nature, cosmic imagery, the film Interstellar, Hans Zimmer’s scores, and Richard Clayderman’s piano.
Faraji’s art encourages reflection, offering peace, vitality, and inspiration through a dialogue between nature and the cosmos.
