Eye of Water (Healing journey)
Seoul Born. Toronto- Based Multi-disciplinary Artist. A artist who understands the world through visual art and music. Reggae music******
Last year, and the year before. I painted.
Alone in a vast field, I painted with joy. Indeed joyful meditation.
A place where dirt was dug and dug, to make a brick, leaving a deep puddle. deep almost looks like moon craters. Now A place where people, working together, rebuilt a beautiful oasis.
A place still making it.
Once a week early in the morning I went there, armed with my art supplies, lunch, pain medication, and more, and painted. Mother Earth, you’re healing, and I’m healing too.
Every day, every day. A pond I encounter along a small path created by humans, and the many water lilies in that pond.
I painted the flickering moments of those water lilies.
A wounded Earth, a wounded nature, yet an Earth and nature that heals every day. And me.
A forest in the city, a pond created by people in the city. Flickering water lilies. In these beautiful efforts, in these hands, I see the hope of life. My
tribute to nature and life, to life.
Eyes of water.- Blink, blink.
We are love.
