Urban abstracts inspired by Toronto’s lines, contours and moods.

Cityscapes is an exploration of downtown Toronto vibes and contours as the sprawl of visitors and residents push their way back into the city amidst the construction, heat and reviving nightlife in the aftermath of lockdowns, divorces and re-sets. Most of the pieces have been completed in the last year, while living in the dead centre of Toronto, above a cluster of noisy nightclubs and passing revelers nearly 24/7.

Bio: Alex Shifrin is an advertising exec living and grinding in Toronto.  Alex has had previous solo exhibitions in Moscow and Toronto in 2014 and 2017. This is Alex’s first show at Gallery 1313.
