What colour is the sound of the sidewalk? What shape was your encounter with a stranger? What image of the urban environment imprints itself on your mind after it fades from memory?
I see these works as a kind of synaesthetic translation of urban space through the concept of psycho geography that allows one to imagine the city otherwise. The grey sidewalk becomes neon orange at an intersection that never ends. To walk a street as if it were hundred years ago or a hundred years from now. These works encourage the urban dweller to be whimsical and spontaneous within a space seemingly more and more efficient and formulaic.
