Voitek Pendrak is a self-taught photographer and cinematographer. Living in Paris for 5 years introduced him to a photographic wonder that leaves a big mark on each of his images. The finesse, sensuality, mystery and discovery. Voitek’s subjects are predominantly women. His work is being commissioned by those who believe that the final image will show as much of what they look like but also what they feel like and what their desires are like. Every work is uniquely crafted and arranged to fit subject’s personality.
The theme of Voitek’s most recent work is discovery. He is achieving it by the opposite of what one’s intuition would expect. He is obfuscating the subjects so the viewer and not the artist can discover them. He wants the audience to remove the layers after layers of the photographic complexity to finally reveal what is the most important.
