While walking thought the decommissioned steelworks outside of Ostrava, a northern city in Moravia, Czech Republic, I ran across these magnificent derelict buildings from times gone by. I recall, from my childhood, when the night sky would turn red as the steelworks were throwing out red hot slag. As I walked through what is now a museum and entertainment center I decided to capture that memory. This is a series called “Hutě”.
