Desert Dance – New Work by Janne Reuss. Sept 12 – 23 2018.

Exhibition: September 12th – 23rd 2018

Reception: September 13th 6:30pm

By fragmenting, rearranging and layering photographs, Janne Reuss creates
new spaces with female figures that address themes of identity and the
existential human conflict between freedom and confinement. Desert
Dance represents an homage to freedom and a celebration of life. In her
new work, Janne Reuss captures that boundless and ephemeral moment of
pure joy.

Janne Reuss is a multicultural and conceptually driven artist. She studied
History of Art in Mexico City, where she was born and raised, and studied
Fine Arts in the Academy of Art & Design in Stuttgart, Germany. Her work is
held in private, as well as public collections: The Donovan Art Collection at
St. Michael’s College, Toronto, Canada (2013), and the Municipal Gallery
Ostfildern, Germany (2008).
