Exhibition: August 15th – 26th 2018
Reception: August 16th 6:30pm-9:30pm
My artwork is a reflection of my life. A deep curiosity and strong appreciation of the natural world and cycle of life.
I have travelled extensively, viewing and photographing animals in their natural environments. This has translated directly into my sculptures and paintings.
This series of sculptures focuses on endangered or threatened species. Through my realistic and evocative sculpting style I hope to encourage the viewer to more closely observe the natural world and reflect on some of the issues responsible for habitat and species decline.
A love and appreciation for the work of Robert Bateman as a child has influenced the way I think and the way I create, albeit through a different medium.
