With this exhibition, our first together in Toronto in almost ten years we are showcasing full throttled landscape art work. We love landscape art and landscape painting. It’s not going anywhere and until we do, we’re painting our beautiful, mysterious, frightening natural world around us. We’ve called this exhibition Location Location Location because as cities become too expensive for anyone to live in and smaller communities become bigger because of it, we think a location is no longer a place but an idea and perhaps a political resolution. It’s an act of economic defiance to make a place a home now as it is an act of defiance to paint the world around us.
For us the making of art isn’t a past time, or a career, it’s what we do and love. This exhibition will include paintings of rocks and forests and nature in general – just a warning. For all our work etc. hotspurstudio.com
