Mary McLorn Valle’s recent paintings explore themes of unfolding energy, metamorphosis and renewal through both non-representational and figurative subject matter.
Tightly cropped blossoms, reflective containers and bud-covered branches against skies serve as inspiration points for boldly coloured and gestural paintings. These vibrant colour combinations are further dissected and studied in gridded colour-mixology paintings.
