Park Walk A Collage Installation by Ella Day

This site specific mixed media installation plays off the wall space as it expands into the larger context of the gallery. The viewer is invited to step into this playful “park” and thereby become a part of the image, a player in the Artist’s scene.
There are sound elements which afford the viewer a chance to interact actively with the constructed environment and “chime in”.
At the centre of the scene is a large mixed media canvas which dominates the small room.
This acrylic based image includes photographic elements woven into a dense and colourful paint application. The figures are stylized and the technique demonstrates a mix of impressionistic qualities with a bolder street element.
