Introspection by Jennifer Tsuchida
April 1 – April 12
How individuals perceive themselves is often different than the type of people they actually are. Self-perception is largely affected by mood and how we perceive we are being viewed in the eyes of society. Jennifer Tsuchida’s solo exhibition, “introspection”, is a visual depiction of the self-reflective journey within. Hand felted wool sculptures engage in twisted metaphorical monologues, bringing to life these interpretations of self in a humorous and unsettling way, delving deep into the viewers’ consciousness, and leaving the onlookers with more questions than answers as to the artist’s perception of self and their own.
