Unusual Landscapes – Gilles Morin
March 19-30, 2014 | Opening Reception Thursday, March 20th 6-9pm
Cell Gallery
These landscapes are divided into sections; chaotic, stormy, confining grids and bright atomic seascapes. The amalgation of these different forces and division of the canvas surface gives the paintings a dynamic energy.
The combinations of forces and symbols are not necessarily logical; however, they act as a rabbit hole into the unconscious. The images and perceptions in the paintings are blurred so that the end and the beginning of the world could be happening simultaneously.
