Inner Land scapes are a serious of my recent works based on Horizon line, land and finding meaning, as an immigrant, in what we call home and motherland.
When your culture, your believe system becomes hazy and unclear to you, when doubt creeps into every solid foundation of trust and takes and shakes all the grounds, you grasp to what is real and familiar.
The tangible line, The Horizon line and what seats beyond our perception of the reality and truth is my ground for creating these new serious.
These serious are the continuance of the pomegranate serious of works, in the search of meaning, truth and a longing for home. What is beyond horizon is unreachable, dreamy and mysterious just like the land I left behind many years ago, the memories from my home land becomes hazy and unreachable these days and the line between the reality and dream gets thin. One side of the horizon is a land seems so far out of reach and the other side solid ground of the reality.
This hazy feeling of inner world is what I am after in these sets of works.
