From Realism to Abstraction: New Photography Work by Sharon Erlichman May 27th – June 7th

The tension between representational and abstract is a key focus in Sharon Erlichman’s painting and photography work. From abstract realism to pure abstraction, the pieces on exhibit become more conceptual and focus on elemental considerations through digital manipulation.
Colour, texture, patterns, and even tonal values in a seemingly ordinary subject can be the jumping off point for development. The show covers a variety of subject matters and demonstrates how the photography work has evolved into a completely digital interpretation from its representational beginnings.

Opening Reception May 28th, 7-9pm
